If you’re unsure of how much or how frequently you may need help, ad-hoc can be a great option. Being ad-hoc means I can’t guarantee you hours and would let you know availability on request of the hours.

Having a retainer means you are booking and retaining my time each month. Whether you use it all or not, you are paying for the reassurance that I have availability for you, and receiving this security at a discounted rate!

You can arrange as little as 1 hour per month.
I would recommend arranging an ad-hoc agreement to experience the efficiency I can provide and will likely use less hours than you think for a task to be completed. However, retainers are available to ensure I can offer consistent assistance to you, as a client who opts for a retainer, you have the benefit that your requests are turned around in 24-48 hours. Ad-hoc may take up to 72 hours.
As you are paying in advance there is little notice period. You can cancel with 30 days notice at any time.
Yes, I take confidentiality very seriously. I use secure methods to store and transmit confidential information, I am fully insured and have ICO registration.
